SRKI was founded and endowed by a supporter of libertarian thought
Patrick H. Laing, who passed away in February of 2003. The SRKI is a research institute. To that end, it is required to actually perform, or at least fund its own research. SRKI is limited to confine its activities and funding to further the understanding of knowledge creation, diffusion and utilization for the public good as they relate to society.
